Defiant Joy in practice: a daily ritual of watercolor blooms and tangled lines.

From February through June 2025, I committed to creating art every day as part of the 100 Day Project. What began years ago as a mindful Zentangle® practice in black and white grew wild with watercolor blooms, shimmering inks, and tangled patterns.

Every piece felt like a doorway: pigment spilling into unexpected shapes, tangled marks reaching outward, small constellations of play and possibility. The daily rhythm taught me to follow curiosity, embrace imperfection, and find joy in the process. I discovered how creative joy can be both fragile and fierce, how it can shine even in ordinary or difficult hours.

My intention was simple: to play, to nurture a consistent art habit, and to share the joy of the creative process. This gallery shares the collection that emerged—100 days of creative practice, color, and defiant joy.
